4:00 PM -  8:00 PM Winter Festival

The Brown County Public Library is excited to be participating in the Winter Festival activities in Mt. Sterling on Friday, December 1, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the library.

For entertainment, we will be hosting Hugo Kringle, Santa Claus’s younger brother.  Unlike his famous brother, Santa Claus, who typically talks to one kid at a time, Hugo sings secular holiday songs and tells stories of growing up with the boy who will become Santa Claus. Hugo Kringle is played by Mike Anderson, who is one of the premier Mountain Dulcimer Players in the country with six instrumental dulcimer recordings to his credit. This will be entertainment for all ages and families can come and go as they wish as Hugo Kringle sings and tells stories.

Additionally, we will be selling “Meet Me at the Library” t-shirts with the funds for the sale going towards the new library building project.  Besides being a warm place to hang out, we will be giving away water and hot dogs.  The Brown County Historical Society will also be on site selling their Brown County History books.

We hope you will make the library one of your stops during the Winter Festival!
