MESSY ART A HUGE HIT WITH KIDS!

In an effort to help parents with scheduling on early dismissal school days the Library is hosting kids’ activities.  Recently we hosted MESSY ART creating a Joseph Pollack inspired mural….somehow Robin ended up getting painted too!   So much imaginative and creative art was created – the kids just let loose.  Next art day is scheduled for Thursday, October 19th right after school until 2:30.  Children are encouraged to bring their lunch to the Library and we will break bread together while enjoying a story.  A Halloween and Fall art project are set for the days’ activities.

SPOTLIGHT ON STAFF: GRACE HASHEMEYER, BCHS ENRICHMENT STUDENT

Grace put together this Frankenstein Book Display….Frankly I also enjoy a frightfully good read!

The Library is excited and proud to introduce everyone to our BCHS Enrichment Student, Grace Hashemeyer, Senior.  Grace is energetic, has a positive personality, is an eager learner and a quick study!!!  She is our newest asset and resource here at the BCPLD.  Grace comes in Monday through Friday on school days from 10:30 to about 11:10am.  Grace has jumped in helping Fay our Cataloguing Librarian with the processing of new materials.  She has assisted the Circulation Librarian, Alyssa, with stacking materials and even did a special update project for Library Director Richard Young.  Marketing and Events Librarian Robin and Grace will be creating and implementing Story Hour at least once monthly for B-5 children and their parent or caregiver.  Come support Grace in her work enrichment experience by attending Story Hour on November 8 at 10:30am!  Welcome aboard Grace we are so glad you are here at the Library.
